OUR ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
Aquabrand has always maintained a strict environmental policy, not for the sake of business, but to help combat our global warming problems and sustain a healthy environment for our planet.
Energy
The offices are supplied with energy from Ecotricity, a UK energy utility that supplies electricity generated solely by wind power, providing a 100% sustainable source.
The offices are illuminated with Maximan compact fluorescent bulbs. Installing these provided a brighter office with a 78% saving in electricity consumption compared to using the existing incandescent bulbs.
All electrical devices are powered off outside of working hours. Apart from the intruder alarms :)
Paper & Printing
We do so little printing it's hardly worth mentioning here, but why not! Being (primarily) internet based, we have always conducted our business electronically. As far as humanly possible, we endeavour to send all correspondence via email.
We don't have a fax machine - faxes are sent and received electronically - no paper!
We don't automatically provide paper-based invoices unless requested - minimal paper!
Our A4 paper is recycled, and we probably use one ream a month (if that) - minimal paper!
When we do have to print something, it is always done so in Draft mode using ink cartridges that have been refilled at the nearby Cartridge World.
Waste
All internal documents are shredded to Security Level 3 (cross cut) and then recycled.
All staff sort (and wash where required) all materials used, which are then recycled.
Hansgrohe & The Environment
Hansgrohe also have a very strict and efficient environmental policy.
