The Hansgrohe Raindance Rainmaker is the brainchild of Phoenix Design of Stuttgart & Tokyo and the winner of the 2005 iF Design Award. Hansgrohe is not just continuing the extremely popular trend - new to Europe but already extremely successful - for large showerheads. With its astounding 600-mm [24"] diameter, it boasts a correspondingly large spray face that increases body coverage and makes for a glorious shower experience.
Despite its unusual dimensions, the shower element, when installed flush with the ceiling, blends in with any bathroom décor. Like a solitaire diamond, it is a vision of understated elegance in its materials and design.
Multifunctional
Its size and sleek design aren't its only surprises: it is also highly multifunctional. The almost oval spray face that spans the entire diameter is divided up into two zones. The central part of the Rainmaker measuring 240 mm [10"] can be used on its own. If you add the two outside segments, though, the gentle rain will envelop two bathers in its warm embrace. They can even move around freely without coming into contact with the cold outside air. When the shower is fully opened, it bedews bathers from more than 350 spray channels. Three fully adjustable whirl jets, shaped like inverted cones, soothe achy muscles with powerful massage action. This multifunctional overhead shower system also boasts innovative AIR functionality, which enriches the water with drawn-in air to create voluminous raindrops from a conventional shower spray. Unlike with a conventional continuous "spaghetti" shower spray, the subjective perception of the water coming into contact with the skin is more gentle. There is objectively less splashing as it leaves the body, which in turn increases the extent to which water covers the body and enhances the feeling of warmth, and thus also the shower quality.
There's also an extra-special touch - optional lighting that, once installed behind the chrome spray disc, illuminates the entire shower area without being visible itself. Instead, the light appears to come from nowhere, imbuing the downpour with ambience and appearing to blend in with the water.

3 all-over Whirl AIR massage jets can be used individually or at the same time. 350 spray outlets, and 5 possible AIR spray modes: Rain AIR (central 30cm overhead shower function), Rain AIR XXL (60cm all over, gentle rain), Whirl AIR (3 rotating AIR massage jets, and 2 mixed combinations. With Rubit cleaning system and Highflow thermostat.
You will also need an ibox, a Quattro 4-way diverter - 0.75 inch and a separate shut-Off valve with this product.
Flow rates for the Rainmaker:
- Rain AIR: 20 litres/min at 3 bar
- Rain AIR XXL: 28 litres/min at 3 bar
- Whirl AIR: 25 litres/min at 3 bar
- Whirl AIR plus Rain AIR XXL: 35 litres/min at 3 bar
It is recommended that a 4 bar pump is fitted for this product.
