Hansgrohe has become a driving force in the industry by winning more than 150 design awards for its innumerable technological innovations over the last 30 years with over 2000 industry patents to date. The Environment

Hansgrohe also leads the way in environmental issues. In 1993, years before ethical sales was a buzz word, Hansgrohe started construction on Europe's largest array of solar panels, on the roof of Hansgrohe's plant in Offenburg, Germany. Water saving technology has also been a priority for Hansgrohe, with innovations such as Waterdimmer for shower heads and Ecostop for mixers. The Ecostop function saves up to 50% of water, whilst still providing 100% showering enjoyment. Another first was the Steel collection complete stainless steel bathroom programme. The manufacturing process of the Steel range put 50% less strain on the environment than conventional production methods (as certified by the Fraunhofer Institute). More recently, AIR injection technology was introduced into the Hansgrohe Raindance range of showers, providing a high flow rate of water mixed with air to provide intense showering with less water usage.
